In addition to being an accomplished Bluegrass performer and 30 year picker of the 5 string banjo, Jimmy Wolling and his wife Lynn studied Indian Classical Music with the Mishra family in Varanasi, India. They studied for a month under Deobrat Mishra, (Sitar, a guitar-like instrument) and Prashant Mishra, (Tablas, percussion). They are available to perform an Indian classical composition called Raga Yaman. Considered to be one of the most fundamental ragas in the Hindustani tradition, it is often one of the first ragas taught to students. In India, Yaman ragas are considered suitable to play at any time of the day, but they are traditionally performed in the evening.
